Beyond Criticism 2017

One of my latest projects this year has been the book series Beyond Criticism published by Bloomsbury.  It’s been a busy year here with six books already published and many more scheduled down the pipeline.  We are also beginning to establish a website that is supplemental to the book series, offering shorter works, reviews, and news related to creative criticism.   We will be open for submissions to the website in 2018. . . We’re only just getting started!

Series Editors: Katharine Craik (Oxford Brookes University, UK), Thomas Karshan (University of East Anglia, UK), Simon Palfrey (University of Oxford, UK), Joanna Picciotto (University of California, Berkeley, USA), John Schad (Lancaster University, UK), K. A. Wisniewski (UMBC, USA).

Taking advantage of new opportunities offered by digital technology and new insights from contemporary creative practice that take us from abstract theory back to literature itself, Beyond Criticism explores radical new forms that literary criticism might take in the 21st century. The series is supported by an online community site for students, scholars and creative practitioners at http://thebee.buzz/, with responses and reactions to published books and shorter works of criticism posted on a monthly basis.
